The Joys? Of Working from Home – Part 4

News and Insights Creatively Yours

Like a lot of UK-based companies, Creatively Yours has had to change and adapt the way that we work over the past year. So, whether your office is in San Francisco, Sydney, or Saffron Walden you have had to become used to video calls and working from home which, in itself, has presented its own challenges.

At the beginning of the pandemic everyone was worried about being stuck at home with their families for long periods (thinking of those family Christmas’s) Oh, and the shortage of toilet rolls! However, as time went on some of our opinions and outlooks changed as companies were forced to adapt to remote working as this became the only way of working.

Remote working requires a mix of discipline and self-care. It may be easy to get carried away with your work without others reminding you to go on breaks, share a coffee and forget about life outside of work. What is often forgotten is that those offices are great places for socialising and making connections with each other but, even with restrictions lifted, it is predicted that 70% of workers will be working remotely.

So here are our top 5 tips for your new remote working life:

4 Cook your way to success

While we were in our offices chances are that, without thinking too much about it, on those days that a ‘standard’ sandwich from home was less than an exciting prospect, a quick pop-out was in order. Now though. with us all working from our houses for most, these trips out at lunchtime, have disappeared and hands-up those of us that end up skipping lunch all together?

As it is very easy to become stuck in a rut when you are preparing for your lunch, you end up relying on the same standbys with very little variation. To help prevent boredom and lunch break skipping, below are a couple of ideas for healthy options that we have found on the internet that are ideal to enjoy from the comfort of your home office desk.

Nutty Chicken Satay Strips

Pack these moreish chicken satay bites in a storage box. Cut some cucumber and other crunchy crudités and store the whole lot in the fridge. The easy marinade mixes peanut butter with garlic, soy, curry and lime. You can make them up to two days in advance for a standby healthy choice when you’re short on time.
